SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. -- Admission to the Saratoga Race Course could be on the rise. It's something the New York Racing Association's board of directors could discuss when they meet tomorrow, according to NYRA Director of Communications Eric Wing.
An increase in admission price was discussed by the New York Franchise oversight board during a meeting yesterday, but any increase would have to be approved by the board of directors.
According to racing website Bloodhorse.com, the price of general admission tickets could go up from 3 dollars to 5 dollars, and admission to the clubhouse could go from 5 dollars to 8 dollars.
The increase would apply to the Saratoga and Belmont race courses.
