WATERVLIET, N.Y. -- The Good Ground Family Church in Cohoes celebrated St. Patrick's Church with a dedication ceremony for one of its crosses.
The cross used to sit on top of St. Patrick's church in Watervliet.
Wood from St. Patrick's sanctuary was also saved and is being repurposed. The wood will be used during renovations for the Good Ground Family Church.
Handcrafted picture frames were made and can be bought by the public.
"We wanted to help continue the legacy. St. Patrick's lives on in the hearts and the lives and the spirit of people and now in the few mementos, these little relics, that's what it means to us. Just to do our part to say we remember," said Pastor Wendell Williams.
Proceeds will go towards the renovation project and St. Patrick's Parish and the Watervliet Historic Society.
