ALBANY, N.Y. -- In honor of Earth Day, students from Forest Park Elementary School are recognized for taking part in a recycling program with Entenmann’s Little Bites and TerraCycle.

The kids collected pouches from Entenmann’s Little Bites to keep them out of landfills and instead have the pouches recycled into useful products.

Some of the items as part of the event included lunch sacks, notebooks and pencil cases.

"To look at their trash in a different way and that it just doesn't go in the garbage but there are other purposes for it as well," said Director of Marketing, Entenmann’s Bakery Maureen Sticco.

The Elementary School was also awarded with a new recycled picnic table and all the kids all went home with a lunch sack containing a water bottle and Little Bites. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
