CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. -- Women dressed in red Tuesday to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Go Red for Women Campaign.
Many gathered in Clifton Park for breakfast to celebrate the milestone.
Heart disease is the number one killer of women.
That's why the Go Red for Women Campaign focuses on awareness of women and heart disease and action to save more lives.
And with ten years of doing just that, organizers say there is still much more to be done.
"More people need to know CPR. More people need to understand the risks and the symptoms that women have which are different than what men have," said Joan Hayner, Capital Care Medical Group CEO.
All proceeds from National Go Red For Women activities go towards supporting awareness, research, education, and community programs to benefit women.
