Fresh off her official announcement that she'll run against Sean Patrick Maloney this fall, Nan Hayworth sat down for an interview on Time Warner Cable's Capital Tonight.
Hayworth, a Republican, said she plans on using her experience in the medical field to make the Affordable Care Act a big part of her campaign.
"People are losing their insurance. They are finding their premiums are skyrocketing. There were elements of that before but it is really hitting hard now. We know hospitals are having a lot of trouble trying to coordinator with these new networks," Hayworth said.
Maloney beat Hayworth by just under four-points two years ago.
