NEW YORK, N.Y. -- Sound the bell, round three goes to the Knicks. After a back and forth bout, Carmelo and company delivered another win against the newly added New York team.
The Knicks slowly started to pull away in the second half after leading 52-48 at the half. Carmelo Anthony led all scorers with 31 points while adding an assist and three rebounds.
Tyson Chandler followed up that performance with 16 points and 12 rebounds while J.R. Smith put up 19 points.
The Knicks improve to 19-6 on the season and will take on Chicago on Friday at 7:30pm.
As for the Nets, Brook Lopez and Deron Williams scored 16 points and Joe Johnson put up 17. Lopez also had 10 rebounds.
Brooklyn is now one loss away from hitting that .500 mark on the season. They'll try to avoid that when they take on Philadelphia on Sunday, December 23rd at 3:00pm.
