The national champion Union men's hockey team will be honored with a parade this week in Schenectady.
Schenectady Mayor Gary McCarthy says it will happen Thursday sometime between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.
Exact details are being worked out, but it's expected to start on campus, come down Union Street, then Jay Street and end at City Hall, where the team will be recognized by city officials.
If the turnout Sunday when the team arrived back in the Capital Region was any indication, there should be a big crowd there to honor the Dutchmen.
Dozens of people came out the campus to greet the team as they arrived home from Philadelphia Sunday, carrying their national championship trophy.
Union defeated Minnesota 7-4 on Saturday night to win the program's first national championship.
