With less than a week away from the start of the 2014 high school football season the Rondout Valley High School team is looking to improve on last year's impressive season.

The Ganders shocked a lot of people in Class B last year. After going winless in 2012, Rondout Valley bounced back finishing last year at 7-3 overall losing in the sectional championship to Marlboro.

The Ganders graduated a lot of talent from last year's team though they feel they've done a good job filling in those spots.

Those that are back from last year hope to have another successful run this fall.

"Even though we lost a bunch of guys, the guys coming up from JV definitely can fill the spots and keep the success going," said junior wide receiver/safety Andrew Koonz. ClientIP:,, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
