Locally Strong Storms Possible This Afternoon

Turning Cooler, Less Humid

Today will be another hazy, hot, humid day where temperatures flirt with 90 around parts of the region. A cool front will move into the region by the mid afternoon, triggering showers and thunderstorms. Some storms may contain damaging winds, large hail and frequent cloud to ground lightning. Showers and thunderstorms will taper from northwest to southeast before midnight.

Thursday will start off with patchy clouds and fog, but as drier air enters from the northwest, look for increasing sun. It will be a seasonable, comfortable day area-wide. We'll wrap up the work week with dry weather and seasonable temperatures Friday. The weekend looks to start warm and dry, but Sunday will feature the return of muggy weather and scattered showers and thunderstorms.
