Chlly Night, Comfortable Wednesday

Gradually Cooler, Dry For Late Week

Behind a cool front, clouds began to break up as Tuesday highs topped out in the mid to upper 60s in the Capital Region. High pressure builds in overnight wih a clearing trend, except for patchy fog and low clouds later. Temps should rise again to the mid to upper 60s Wednesday with mostly sunny skies followed by another cool night in the 40s. A cool front and its clouds will reach the area from the north by Thursday morning with clouds breaking up during the afternoon as temps hold in the low 60s. Frost will threaten the Capital Region overnight and Friday morning with a freeze possible in some of the coldest spots.  The large high moves to and off the coast over the weekend as a south to southwesterly flow and a warming atmosphere allow temps to return to the 70s before the next front brings a few showers and a cooler turn again early next week.

Chlly Night, Comfortable Wednesday

Gradually Cooler, Dry For Late Week

Behind a cool front, clouds began to break up as Tuesday highs topped out in the upper 60s to near 70 in the Hudson Valley. High pressure will build in overnight wih a clearing trend, except for patchy fog and low clouds later with lows in the low to mid 40s. Temps should rise again to 65 to 70 Wednesday with mostly sunny skies. Following another chillly night, a cool front and its clouds will reach the area from the north Thursday with clouds peaking around midday, then breaking up during the afternoon as temps reach well into the 60s. Frost may reach parts of our region overnight and Friday morning as the chilly high crests over the area.  The high moves to and off the coast over the weekend as a south to southwesterly flow and warming atmosphere allow temps to return well into the 70s before the next front brings a few showers and a turn toward cooler again early next week.
