Clouds, Occasional Light Snow/Flurries Today

Temperatures Slowly Moderate Early Week

A moist easterly flow and weak upper level disturbances keep us in low clouds, occasional flurries and temps hard pressed to make it above freezing again today. Some areas have seen a dusting with a light accumulation most likely on higher ground, especially east of the Hudson Valley and the state line. Overnight lows will drop a bit below 30 again with a chance of flurries in spots. Monday clouds should hold sway with a chance of a few breaks of sun, but also a few flurries are possible as highs reach the mid to upper 30s. Temps will flirt with the freezing mark with flurries or a very light mix overnight Monday into early Tuesday with clouds and a chance of light rain the remainder of Tuesday as highs approach 40.  By Wednesday a major system moves to the East Coast with rain, wind and highs in the 50s. That should move out by Christmas Day with leftover clouds, breezy and still relatively mild weather.

Winter officially arrives today at 6:03 pm..

Clouds, Occasional Light Snow or Flurries This Afternoon

Temperatures Slowly Moderate Early Week

A moist easterly flow and weak upper level disturbances keep us in low clouds, occasional light snow or flurries and temps hard pressed to make it much above freezing today. Some areas have seen a dusting and a light accumulation is most likely on higher ground, either side but especially east of the Hudson Valley. Overnight lows will drop a bit below freezing again with a chance of flurries in spots. Monday clouds should hold sway with a chance of a few breaks of sun, but also a few flurries or sprinkles of rain in the area as highs reach the mid to upper 30s. Temps will flirt with the freezing mark with a light mix possible overnight Monday with clouds and a chance of light rain Tuesday as highs reach 40. By Wednesday a major system moves to the East Coast with rain, wind and highs well into the 50s. That should move out by Christmas Day with leftover clouds, breezy and still relatively mild weather.

Winter officially arrives today at 6:03 pm.
