RENSSELAER COUNTY, N.Y. -- An evacuation order has been issued for River Road on the Route 67 side of the river below the Hydroelectric generation plant in Johnsonville, which is a hamlet in Pittstown. County officials say the dam at the hydroelectric plant is in eminent danger of failure and that everyone needs to get out of the way.

If you need more information, call the Rensselaer County Emergency Operations Center at (518) 266-7685.

Evacuation orders are also in effect in Troy, according to the mayor's twitter account. Mandatory evacuations are in place for Jefferson Street, Ida Street, and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd streets along the canal.

Troy Police say there are also a number of road closures due to flooding. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
